Overview
October was all about making Fastr Frontend v2 faster and friendlier — especially when you're working away from your desk. Managing your experiences now works on phones and tablets, publishing got quicker and smarter, Figma imports look a lot more like their source files, and Publications picked up automatic link detection. Let's dig in.
Fastr Frontend v2
Phones and tablets, meet Fastr
Up until now, managing your experiences on a phone or tablet was… let's call it "character-building." We rebuilt the experience management screen with a responsive, touch-friendly layout, so you can browse, publish, and unpublish from your iPhone or iPad without pinching, zooming, and sighing. A few specific gremlins went with it: tapping a text field on iOS Safari no longer zooms the page and leaves it stuck zoomed, iPad landscape in Safari scrolls properly instead of clipping the sidebar, and iPad portrait stops chopping the edge off the last card in a row.
Faster, smarter publishing
Publishing no longer has to wait for thumbnails to finish loading before it gets going — a difference you'll really feel on pages full of migrated experiences. We also stopped re-rendering work that was already done: a publish now only re-renders the experiences that aren't already live at their current revision, instead of redoing every experience in the slot.
The experience context menu got clearer, too. There's now a dedicated Publish 100% option, and the split-traffic publish option is labeled so you can tell the two apart at a glance.

Organizing experiences with less friction
You can now select several experiences at once and move or duplicate the whole batch into any content slot — no more one-at-a-time shuffling. Moved experiences also land where you actually expect them in the destination, rather than scattering unpredictably. And opening a folder from its parent's child-folder list now shows its contents right away instead of a blank page that needed a reload.

Text and fills
The Set Fill action now works on text widgets, so you can drive text color the same way you already style other elements. Headings you create now publish as true heading elements — better for accessibility and SEO, and a nicer experience for anyone using a screen reader. And text that scales with screen width no longer leaves awkward empty space below headings at narrow widths.
Figma import looks like your Figma file
Two import fixes bring your designs across more faithfully. Absolutely-positioned layers now layer correctly over the background instead of stacking in the wrong order, and images keep their scale mode and crop — so they fill their frame as intended instead of importing letterboxed.
See Figma Import for the full walkthrough.
Cross-browser and interaction fixes
Link shapes with no fill are clickable again in Firefox — invisible hotspots that quietly stopped working are back in action. We also fixed a case where a single paging click in a data-driven widget could wipe out every interaction in the scene; interactions now survive those updates and keep firing.

Auto-Link now spots plain URLs on upload
Auto-Link got better at finding links for you: it now detects text-based URLs right in the PDF upload path, so web addresses printed in your document become clickable without you having to add them by hand.
