Overview
New year, new deploys! January kicked off 2026 with a bang—Safari got faster, Combine Publications got smarter, and our App-to-Workspace migration tool learned some serious new tricks. Oh, and iOS devices stopped crashing. You're welcome.
Fastr Frontend
Safari Performance Boost
We kicked off the year by giving Safari some much-needed attention. Performance optimizations mean your published experiences now load and render faster in Safari. Because your customers shouldn't have to wait just because they chose a different browser.
iOS Crash Fix: The Big One
Resource-heavy pages were crashing iOS devices—not exactly the user experience we were going for. We've optimized how SVG elements are batched and loaded, so even your most content-packed pages now run smoothly on iPhones and iPads. No more browser meltdowns.
Fastr Workspace
App-to-Workspace Migration: Major Upgrades
Our team is hard at work at getting migration ready for moving fully from Frontend to Workspace. Here are some improvements we've been making in the background:
- Custom Fonts – Your custom fonts now carry over automatically. No more "Missing Font" headaches after migration.
- Open in New Tab Links – Links set to open in a new tab actually open in a new tab after migration. Revolutionary concept.
- Anchor Links – Jump-to links now correctly map their target selectors, so anchor navigation actually works post-migration.
- Execute JS Scripts – Custom JavaScript tied to interactions is now preserved during migration. No more re-entering scripts manually.
- Carousel Navigation – Next/previous slide interactions and slide animations import correctly, so your carousels work out of the box.

SVG Import Fix
SVG graphics were having an identity crisis during migration—circles were turning into arcs, shapes were getting distorted. We've fixed the import process so your SVGs look exactly the same before and after migration. No visual surprises.
Parallax + Embeds: Now Best Friends
Remember when scrolling through pages with parallax effects caused embedded content to flash and reload? Yeah, that was awkward. We've fixed the scroll-factor handling for extracted embeds so your iframes and third-party widgets play nicely with parallax animations on Safari and Firefox.

Fastr Publications
Combine Publications: Smarter Internal Links
When you combine or rearrange pages in a publication, internal links (like table-of-contents entries) now automatically update to point to the correct destination. No more links navigating to the wrong page after a combine operation.
Learn how to use this feature in our Combine PDFs guide.
Update Your Downloadable PDF
After rearranging or combining pages, you can now update the downloadable PDF to reflect your changes. Previously, the download still served the original version. Now what you see is what your users get.

Finalize Button: Now Actually Visible
The Finalize and Cancel buttons in the Combine Publications dialog were hiding below the fold on smaller screens. We've made the dialog responsive so these important buttons are always visible, regardless of your screen size.
Fastr Optimize (EAP)
JavaScript Snippets Panel
New to Optimize: a dedicated panel for configuring, publishing, and managing JavaScript snippets for analytics and experiments. Manage all your tracking and experimentation scripts from one centralized location—no code editing outside of Fastr required.
