Overview
The Workspace dashboard has significant improvements for organizing your content, as you are now able to create Folders and Subfolders for grouping your content. This article will cover how to organize your Workspace by creating Folders, Subfolders, Content Slots, and Publication Slots.
Dashboard Structure
In general, your Workspace will consist of Folders and Subfolders that you can use to organize content. Inside a folder, you can create a Content Slot or a Publication Slot, which is used for publishing your content.
Inside each Slot, you can create as many Experiences as you would like. This will allow you to create future drafts, schedule content, and also run A/B Testing.
Folders
Folders are the top level of the organization structure, which can be used to group your content in various ways. All members in your account will see the same folders and sub-folders on the left side. Inside a folder, you can either create additional sub-folders or create a Slot, which is detailed below. If you have created a Content Slot or a Publication Slot, you will notice the Folder tree has different icons, as shown here:
To help sort your content, you can also make use of the Pin feature, as shown below. If you Pin a Folder or a Slot, it will appear at the top of your Folder list. If you have any pinned folders or if you have specific folders expanded, this will be specific to your login. This allows each member of your team to pin the content that they are working on, or to leave specific folders expanded.
In addition to the above features, you will also have the basic organization features you might expect. You can drag and drop folders to reposition them, or you can right-click to view additional settings (such as duplicating, renaming, or deleting a folder). This can be done to move your Folders or to reposition your Slots.
Additionally, when you are in a Folder, you will be able to see information about the subfolders inside that main folder. An example of this can be seen here:
Content Slots and Publication Slots
Within each Folder, you can further segregate and organize your experiences by putting them in Content Slots or Publication Slots. The main difference is that a Content Slot will start with a blank experience that you can start from scratch. In comparison, a Publication Slot will begin by uploading a PDF file to make a Publication. For more information on uploading a PDF, please review the following article:
