Fastr Workspace - How to Import a Template

Overview

When you log into your account, the first step in setting up your Fastr pub is to create a book layout. This layout acts as the foundation for how your content will appear once it's published. You can either design a new layout using the tools available within the platform or, import it directly into your account.

Every time you upload a PDF to your workspace, you’ll be prompted to choose a layout. The selected layout defines the structure and appearance of your publication — including how pages are displayed, navigated, and interacted with by your readers.

How to import template book to your account dashboard

To import an existing book template into your account, simply go to the "Libraries and Templates" section located in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard.

Clicking on the "Libraries & Templates" option will expand the section on the right side of the dashboard. From there, navigate to the desired template book slot, where you'll see all the available book templates listed under that slot.

From there, simply drag and drop the desired book template into the Books section of your dashboard to import it into your account.

Once you drop the template book into the actual book slot on your dashboard, a message box will appear to confirm the import.

Click Close on the message box, and you’ll see the imported book template appear in the Books section of your account dashboard. From there, you can start using the template as needed.

Fastr currently supports these types of book layouts:

• Standard Light
• Standard Dark
• Side Module
• Double spread with cover
