In the Experience Canvas, multi-board experiences (i.e. carousels, lookbooks, etc.) are now more flexible than they have ever been before. We have recently added the ability to create an Overlay layer! This makes it simple to add Overlay arrows to your multi-scene experiences, so please review here:
Fastr Frontend Experience Canvas: Overlay Widgets
Your scenes are now powered off of the Board Widget, so any Board that you place down will be considered a new Scene in your Experience:
That said, there are two ways to go about adding more Boards to your Experience.
Your first option is to simply select the Board Widget from the top of your Widget List:
Then click and drag to draw a new Board anywhere within the gray area of the Experience Canvas.
Alternatively, you can Duplicate one of the Boards already in your Experience, by right clicking on it in your Widget Layer list:
This will add a clone of that Board on top of whatever one you chose to do the duplication on, and you can just drag that Duplicate to its own location in the Editor window.
Once you have multiple Boards (Scenes) in your Experience, you can then link them together using the Interact options found in the top right corner of the Editor after clicking on a Widget:
You can string your Boards together into a flowing Multi Scene Experience using these steps:
1) Select the Widget that you want someone to click on to navigate to another Scene
2) Click the plus sign in the Interact tab, followed by the three dots to the left "On Click", and that should give you the following options:
3) From here, you can do one of two things. Either choose the Board that someone should be taken to in the "Destination" dropdown, or, grab the green arrow that appears and drag it over to your next Board until it snaps onto it, like so:
With this new way of building Multi Scene Experiences, you are now able to have Scenes that are different heights as well - which was not possible in our Legacy Editor!
