Zmags takes web accessibility seriously, which you can see in many of the features we already offer. In our effort to continue to make the web accessible for all, we are building a new feature to support customized tab ordering. WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) stipulate that content must have a logical tab order for people using keyboard, or other assistive technology, to navigate. With this release, Creator Studio users can now customize the order in which content can be navigated.
In the right side menu within the Creator Studio Editor, you’ll notice the “Widget Tab Order” menu. Clicking on the menu opens up a list of all widgets on the current scene. The order they appear (from top to bottom) is the order it will be read by a screen reader or tab on a keyboard.
Dragging and dropping the widgets in the list will adjust the order in which they are read. Simply select a widget and drag it to a new spot in the order. Note: this will not affect the layering order of the widget itself.
You can also remove widgets from the tab order by dragging the item into the menu along the bottom. Simply drag and drop the widget from it’s current location to the lower part of the menu labeled “Remove from Tab Order”.
